Our Family AI Agreement
Check the lines that fit, cross out what doesn't, and add your own.
In our family, we use AI to:
- explain something another way when we are stuck
- make practice questions and flashcards from our own notes
- get feedback on work we wrote ourselves
- brainstorm ideas we then choose from and develop
In our family, we do not use AI to:
- write work that we turn in as our own
- answer tests or quizzes
- do work a teacher said to do alone
- pretend to be someone else, or make fake photos of real people
In our family, we before using AI for school, check:
- the teacher's rules for this assignment
- with an adult if the rules are not clear
In our family, we when we use AI:
- say so, and describe how we used it
- can explain the work in our own words afterward
In our family, we check what AI tells us by:
- looking at the textbook or class notes
- finding and opening the real source ourselves
- asking a teacher or another adult
In our family, we never share with a chatbot:
- full names, school, address or phone number
- photos of ourselves or other people
- passwords or login details
- someone else's work or private information
In our family, we if something AI says feels wrong or upsetting:
- stop, and tell an adult we trust
