What is PromptBase?

PromptBase is the eBay of prompts. Sellers list prompts (mostly for image generation), buyers pay $2–$10 each, and PromptBase takes a cut. There's no integrated playground — you buy the text, then run it on Midjourney/DALL-E/etc. yourself. The model is pure marketplace.

Where PromptBase wins

  • Massive prompt library for niche image styles you can't easily prompt yourself
  • Sellers tune prompts for specific looks (anime portraits, product shots, etc.)
  • Pay-per-prompt model means no subscription if you're a casual buyer

Where StudyAIMastery wins

  • Recipes are FREE — community-shared, with run counts as quality signal
  • Built-in playground to RUN prompts immediately, not just buy them
  • Tweak any recipe and re-share — they sell static text, we share live ones
  • Workflow chaining — combine multiple recipes into one pipeline
  • See cost + output before committing — PromptBase is sight-unseen

Our honest take

PromptBase is a sensible product if you specifically want to outsource the work of crafting one perfect prompt. But for ~95% of use cases, the free Recipes library here does the same job — and you can run them in-platform for the actual model cost (often $0.001) instead of paying $5 for the text and then paying again to run it. We think marketplace economics are wrong for prompts; they want to be shared, like recipes.
